OUR PURPOSE & HISTORY
The Bonneville Geocachers Association (BONGA) is dedicated to promoting and building the geocaching community in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. Launched in January 2026, this new group hopes to build and bring together our already thriving community and to drive an ambitious, adventurous, and creative environment. We hope to see you at one of many events and out in the community finding and hiding quality geocaches.
BONGA was created in 2026 as an effort to help centralize the vibrant and active geocaching community in Utah and Idaho. Founder, coaster_cacher (Tyson) was inspired by his visits to other regions, and wanted to bring the strong sense of community and opportunities to host larger events here to the area. One of the organizations biggest goals is bring MEGA events to BONGA territory, this only being possible with the rallied support of a strong organization and community to make it successful.
